Okay, he kindof did (the death of over several thousand people doesn't go unnoticed), but they stripped him down to a snarling, agonized monster that didn't get put out its misery the painless way. You just can't do that. And then to say that he can't come back from that when he has every right to - as I heard from a very good film, "WEVENGE!"
