I understand the distaste for having Chuck fight like Leon and I would have loved to see multiple fights with such a strange ending to the first fight.
Yet in all to me it's those little things that make it so much more different then the Leon's fight. He drinks to regain health, he chucks *no pun intended* Molotov's at Frank and has a two side defense when he gets stuck...
Also if you notice Frank and Chuck go back in forth between each other during the fight. They respond to each other where most of the other Psycho fights Frank and said psycho only acknowledge each other violently and not verbally until the end scene and or intro scene.
Though if you would allow me to post one little distaste for this fight it would have to be the beginning... Any normal person can see that the doll was supposed to represent Chucks daughter by what he was saying. Yet Frank who has dealt with plenty of psycho's and should at least have some experience with dealing with them instead just stupidly (after acknowledging that the doll was his supposive daughter) grabs her leg roughly to stop Chuck. After Chuck stressed how far he was going to go to protect his daughter... In reality Chuck attacking Frank was vastly justified and Frank deserved any harm that came to him during said fight.
I agree with you. I didnt like seeing him like that at all since he is my fav character. At first I refused to fight/kill him. Im glad he was in the game at all but it was weird seeing him so different. I do love his theme, one of the best. But yeah it is just like Leon's fight all over again. Only difference is Chuck can throw molotov's as well. Otherwise yeah its the same. Since he is such an important character I was hoping for a multi stage kinda fight, like Carlito's. Especially when they leave it open at the end of the cutscene suggesting hes still alive yet you never see or hear from him again. They should have brought him back again later on for a harder fight. Missed opportunity there. That would be such a great psyho fight if he got some of his combo weapons. I'd like to see him kick Frank's ass. Not that I dont like Frank, I just prefer Chuck honestly
I felt so sad when I saw Chuck like this. A bit creeped out. Seeing a loving, caring father turn into a drunk, emotional wreck who's out of touch with reality disturbed me more than psychos like Adam or Slappy.
Love the work that you've put into this, primarily the positioning of the subjects, and I'm not saying this to be a sycophant or some such. I was going to say something relating to nutbars, but I see the sig of the person above has beat me to it. Story of my loife...
